Festuca saximontana Rydberg var. saximontana . Rocky Mountain Fescue. Hab: High-elevation, boreal ledges and crevices. Dist: Long Island (historical), north to n. NY, VT, and ON, westward. Known historically from Long Island, NY; this species is now extant in NY further north at only a few sites in high-elevation boreal sites (Werier 2022).

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy: = FNA24, K3, K4, NY; < Festuca brachyphylla var. brachyphylla – C; < Festuca saximontana Rydb. – Mi
