Rumex persicarioides Linnaeus. Section: Rumex. Coastal Dock. Phen: Jul; Aug-Sep. Hab: Coastal and saline habitats, marshes and shores. Dist: Bicoastal. Long Island NY (historical), n. to MA; disjunct in NL (Newfoundland) and P.E.I. Westward in CA, OR, and BC.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Plants on the west coast of North America require additional study (Mosyakin 2005).
