*Aristida divaricata Willdenow. Hab: West of our region, in dry hills and plains, especially in pinyon-juniper woodlands; collected in our region only from a test nursery. Dist: Sw. United States to Guatemala. Allred (1986) reports the collection of this sw. North American species from a Soil Conservation Service test nursery in Chapel Hill, NC.
