Lupinus perennis Linnaeus var. perennis . Common name: Northern Sundial Lupine. Phenology: Apr-May; Jun-Jul. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, sandy roadsides, other dry (and usually sandy and nutrient-poor) habitats. Distribution: ME west to MN, south to n. SC, w. VA, e. WV, IN, and IL.
