Callisia Loefling.
A genus of ca. 15-18 species, herbs, of tropical America.
ID notes: Callisia includes perennial herbs, small and creeping (except the robust and erect Callisia fragrans) with radial flowers with white petals (pink in Callisia micrantha). Its distribution in our region is southern and Coastal Plain, in FL, TX, and LA.
