Woodsiaceae Herter. Woodsia Family.
A family of about 1 genus and ca. 65 species, cosmopolitan in distribution, but concentrated in temperate and montane areas. Proposals have been made to split Woodsia into 7 genera (Shmakov 2015) or 2 genera (Lu et al. 2020). We retain a broad Woodsia for now, while additional studies are done.
