Carex verrucosa Muhlenberg. Section: [26x] Section 17a Glaucescentes. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Pocosins, wet pinelands, pondcypress ponds, domes, stringers, and savannas. Distribution: Se. NC south to south to s. FL, west to w. LA and e. TX.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Synonymy : = ETx1, FNA23, GW1, K4, NS, POWO, RAB, S, WH3, Mackenzie (1931-1935); = Carex glaucescens Elliott var. androgyna M.A.Curtis. Basionym: Carex verrucosa Muhl. 1817
