Clinopodium ashei (Weatherby) Small. clade: SMC. Ashe's Calamint, Ashe's Savory, Ohoopee Dunes Wild Basil. Phen: May-Nov (-Jan). Hab: White sand Florida scrub; longleaf pine sandhills. Dist: Peninsular FL (Marion and Volusia counties south to Highlands and possibly Glades counties); disjunct in e. GA (Candler and Tatnall counties).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: The GA plants (in dune systems along the Ohoopee River) need additional study. They do not appear to be conspecific with FL populations.

Synonymy: = K1, K3, K4, S, Cantino & Wagstaff (1998); = Calamintha ashei (Weath.) Shinners – Fl6, WH3, Shinners (1962a); = Satureja ashei Weath.
